Saturday morning the Mauves were expected early at the training center. They had breakfast together before heading for Zaventem airport.
Arriving in Villach, Austria, mid-afternoon, the twenty-seven players had their first training session on Austrian soil in the early evening; A light session to recover from the previous day's friendly match against NK Lokomotiva Zagreb.
New recruits Louis Patris and Kasper Dolberg were welcomed with open arms by their new team-mates and the entire technical and medical staff at their first training session led by coach Brian Riemer.
The first full day of training took place on Sunday. After the necessary treatments, the team trained intensively at mid-day in a temperature of 30 degrees, ending the session with a short game form. After lunch, the players met in the fitness room.
On Monday and Tuesday, the pace will continue to pick up, with double sessions on the program. Wednesday afternoon will be devoted to a team-building activity, while on Thursday the players will prepare more specifically for Friday's friendly match.
The Mauve et Blanc will then take on the Czech side Sparta Prague in a training duel organized in a 3 x 45 minutes. The match will be broadcast live and in full on Mauve TV.
On Saturday, RSC Anderlecht returns to Belgium. Back home, Sporting will prepare for the gala match against Ajax and the Fanday on Saturday, July 22. Tickets for this match are still on sale at ticketing.rsca.be.
