The final selection of 2024 is marked by the return of some star players
RSC Anderlecht will play its last game of 2024 on Friday evening at our very own Lotto Park, against FCV Dender EH. With a win, RSCA would end the year comfortably in the top 3 of the Jupiler Pro League.
This last game of the year is marked by the return of some star players. Jan Vertonghen returns to the squad after more than four months of being sidelined due to injury. Our captain sees his continuous efforts during his recovery rewarded.
Thorgan Hazard is also back with the team. Our number 11 makes his comeback eight months after his unfortunate cruciate ligament injury.
Killian Sardella has also recovered from his ankle injury sustained in the match against KAA Gent. Killian was sidelined for four games but is now back in the squad. Anders Dreyer, who had to miss the match against Genk due to illness, also makes his return.
Less good news regarding Thomas Foket. Thomas has shown himself at right back in recent weeks, but will have to skip this game with a toe injury.
Regarding Mario Stroeykens, we’ll have to wait until the new year for the midfielder to make his return.
