Amando Lapage signed his first professional contract. He will stay at the club until 2024.
Amando started playing in the RSCA Belfius Academy at the age of 7. This season, the 17-year old was part of the U18 and U21 team of Robin Veldman.
“Amando started out as a midfielder but was converted to a defender along the way. It’s a position in which he can still surprise some people”, says Jean Kindermans, head of the RSCA Belfius Academy. “He’s strong in the air, anticipates well and also has a good pass, as well as still having some room for improvement.”
Either way, Amando definitely has purple & white blood running through his veins, as he is the grandchild of club legend Paul Van Himst. A nice twist of fate.
Congratulations, ket.
