A Easter weekend classic. The prestigious Ajax Future Cup will take place in Amsterdam this weekend, with Sporting participating for the 12th consecutive time. All of our U17s’ games will be live to watch on mauve.tv for membership holders.
Marcus Rashford. João Félix. Ruben Dias. Many of the world's football stars have played on the pitches of De Toekomst at the Future Cup when they were younger. And a lot of Made in Neerpede players, such as Jérémy Doku, Roméo Lavia, Youri Tielemans and Mario Stroeykens, have also represented our colours in Amsterdam.
Just like Ajax, Sporting have participated in every edition of the competition. And only Ajax have won the trophy more times than RSCA (5 times for Ajax and 3 times for the Mauves).
The 2024 edition of the tournament is, like usual, made up of eight teams from all around the world. Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Sporting Portugal, FC Nordsjælland, Partizan Belgrade and Pachuca are the six other clubs taking part this year.
It is the 2007 generation who will represent Neerpede in Amsterdam. Led by Jarne Flies, Gassimou Sylla and Amar Milisic, the Sportingboys have an honour to defend against Europe’s top academies.
