As the days are getting shorter, the darkness is falling over the evening games at our home ground. That leads to the return of light shows and the unique atmosphere at the Lotto Park once again. And that Park sounds a little different from this season onwards.
A unique atmosphere & its own musical identity
Last season was marked by a resurgence of the atmosphere in our stadium. Just about every game was sold out, and the stadium was more alive and kicking than ever. A match at the Lotto Park is synonymous with a magical moment.
That unique atmosphere of the Park was now translated into new sonic branding. Our own musical identity. An expression of why the Park gives you goosebumps every fortnight. The first way in which that sonic branding manifests itself is through a new anthem, which was introduced for the first time by a live orchestra before the game against KV Kortrijk.
Performed by live orchestra
A musical ensemble performed the new anthem live, before the match against Kortrijk, the first evening match in winter time. The hymn is an ode to the Park, and was partly composed from recordings of supporters' chants.
A recognizable and distinctive sound
The live performance is a first expression of RSCA’s bespoke sonic identity, created in collaboration with sound production agency Sonhouse. The anthem, and other expressions of the hymn, will recur at various moments throughout the season inside and outside the stadium as part of a recognizable musical identity.
