Anas Tajaouart (19) has extended his contract with RSC Anderlecht for another five years. Anas has been making his way up through our youth teams since 2013 and has committed to a contract until 2029.
Born and raised in Brussels, Anas has developed into a creative central midfielder in recent years. Meanwhile, Anas already has 44 games for the RSCA Futures in the Challenger Pro League under his belt, where he wore the captain's armband. He is also a Moroccan youth international.
Anas is making a conscious decision to extend his expiring contract despite a lot of interest from both Belgian and international clubs.
Anas Tajaouart:
“I am very proud to extend my contract with RSC Anderlecht. I have been playing here since the U8s and have worked hard in all those years to get where I am today. Thanks to the club, I have gained maturity and self-confidence, and I firmly believe in the project the club has set out for me. My goal now is to continue working in order to hopefully get my first playing minutes in the first team soon.”
Chief Academy Tim Borguet:
‘"Anas has been the architect at the heart of the RSCA Futures' midfield this season. He is a playmaker who thinks and creates forward, with a lot of guts and intensity in his game. Anas is also technically strong and tactically smart. The five-year contract is an expression of our confidence in his qualities and his determination to succeed in his city and at his club. Even after more than 10 years at Neerpede, we are still looking forward to seeing him develop further in the coming years.”
