On Thursday evening, the Croky Cup quarter finals between RUSG and RSCA was temporarily suspended, following cups being thrown onto the field by some supporters in the away end at the Joseph Mariën Stadium.
Using camera footage, police forces have already been able to identify 5 individuals. The club will work closely with the police to identify other persons involved. RSC Anderlecht will start a procedure of civil exclusion so that the persons involved will receive a de facto stadium ban.
The club wants to stress once again that these kind of actions can compromise the physical integrity of players, referees, stewards and security services and are therefore completely intolerable. RSC Anderlecht will continue to severely sanction this kind of behavior in the future.
