The Purple & White has reached an agreement with Waasland-Beveren on the transfer of 26-year-old Ryota Morioka to the Astridpark. Morioka will become the first Japanese player ever to play for RSC Anderlecht!
Ryota Morioka was trained in his homeland at Vissel Kobe, but then transferred to Europe. He played for the Polish Slask Wroclaw for two seasons. The Japanese international (4 caps) played 53 matches there, scored 15 times and gave 11 assists.
After his first experience with European football, Morioka signed in Waasland-Beveren in the summer. He played 27 games there, 24 of which in the competition. Ryota scored 9 times and gave 11 assists, as a result of which he was the player to give the second most assists in the Jupiler Pro League.
