KV Mechelen were the more dangerous team in the beginning. Hendrik Van Crombrugge stopped Kerim Mrbati's attempt. RSCA tried to get in front through Benito Raman's header and a shot from Lior Refaelove, but were denied by goalkeeper Gaëtan Coucke. At the other end, a cross from Sandy Walsh hit the bar. Despite the constant pressure from the visitors, it was RSCA that managed to open the scoring through Benito Raman, who outwitted defender Sheldon Bateau. But not long after, Nikola Storm equalised just before the break.
Our players emerged from the dressing room in a fury. Christian Kouamé made his second goal after a great assist by Kristoffer Olsson. Kouamé scored his second after that and the goals kept flying in. Amuzu, Verschaeren and Zirkzee added to the score, Onur Kaya struck back for KV Mechelen. Final score: 7-2.
