Killian Sardella has extended his contract at RSC Anderlecht. The defender Made in Neerpede remains loyal to his formation club until 2028.
Last weekend, Killian started his sixth season for RSC Anderlecht's first team. Last season, Killian was a regular in coach Brian Riemer's first team as a right-back and played 35 games. In a particularly strong season, Killian not only rounded the 100-games mark for purple and white, but also scored his first goal in front of a full Lotto Park against Antwerp on the first matchday of the Champions' Play-offs.
Killian Sardella:
"There were a lot of moments last season that gave me that extra push to stay with RSC Anderlecht. The joy I felt when I scored my first goal, but also upon my return from injury where my name was chanted throughout the stadium. These were all moments that made my bond with the club and the supporters even stronger. I feel I have even more to give back to the club, so I am very happy and proud to extend here."
CEO Sports Jesper Fredberg:
“We’re really happy to be renewing the contract with Killian. He’s one of our homegrown players that has taken big steps. Physically and technically, he’s a good fit for us, but he’s also stepped up and showed a lot of character last season. We believe that there’s even more potential to be fulfilled, so we’re looking forward to witnessing him taking the next steps.”
