On Sunday, Anderlecht lost to Club Brugge in the Lotto Park. Next week we will play a home game against Antwerp (cup) and away against Kortrijk.
After ten minutes of play, Ferran Jutgla opened the score with a header after a cross from Chemsdine Talbi. Sporting responded with a header from Leander Dendoncker that ended up next to the post. A shot from Anders Dreyer was cleared by Simon Mignolet and in the rebound Kasper Dolberg his shot was saved at the last minute by Joel Ordonez. The goalkeeper from Brugge, then stood firm on a shot from Francis and an attempt from Mats Rits went over. The team from Brussels therefore had more chances, but it was the team from Bruges who, thanks to Ferran Jutgla, doubled the lead from a standard situation just before half-time. Francis Amuzu shot the ball into the net just before half-time, but his goal was disallowed for offside. 0-2, the half-time score.
Francis Amuzu – who was injured in a collision with Joel Ordonez in injury time in the first half – was carried off the field on a stretcher and replaced by Samuel Edozie at half-time. Kasper Dolberg was also injured and had to make way for Luis Vazquez. Not much happened in the first fifteen minutes. Only after an hour did Sporting start to threaten Simon Mignolet's domain, but Luis Vazquez was unable to finish. Twenty minutes before the end, Gustaf Nilsson – who came on – ended the tension with a header from a corner: 0-3. Next week, David Hubert's men will have to recover from the defeat: at home against Antwerp (cup) and away against Kortrijk.
