RSC Anderlecht and KVC Westerlo have reached an agreement on the final transfer of Lucas Stassin (18).
Lucas enjoyed almost his entire formation at RSC Anderlecht. He joined the RSCA Belfius Academy at the age of 9 and played in all the youth teams. In the summer of 2021, the striker signed his first professional contract at the club.
Lucas made his professional debut at the start of last season with the RSCA Futures in the Challenger Pro League. Throughout the season, he scored 15 goals and delivered 3 assists in 29 games for the Futures. He made his debut in the first team against West Ham in the UEFA Europa Conference League. Lucas ended up playing 5 games for the first team.
"It was not the club's wish for Lucas to leave", says CEO Sports Jesper Fredberg. "We would have liked to see him develop further at RSC Anderlecht. But given the competition on his position in the first team, the player's desire to take on another challenge and the fact that his contract would expire after this season, we started looking for a solution. We are happy for Lucas that he is joining a good club and we wish him all the best for the future."
