On Friday evening, Sporting travelled to the Kuipje to take on KVC Westerlo. Two changes were made to the starting eleven in comparison to last weekend's Brussels derby: Alexis Flips and Théo Leoni were replaced by Benito Raman and Mario Stroeykens. The match also saw the return of Yari Verschaeren. The Mauves deservedly won 1-3. Goals from Danish trio Anders Dreyer, Thomas Delaney and Kasper Dolberg sealed the win.
