This week the main round of the Futsal Champions League will be played. RSCA Futsal, as national champions, has again been invited to the Champions League. Including a match against Barça, it will again be enjoyment of futsal at the very highest level. To be followed live on Mauve TV.
In the main round, RSCA Futsal is assigned to a group with hosts KMF Loznica-Grad (Serbia), Barça (Spain) and Luxol St. Andrews (Malta). Tonight - Wednesday 8:30 p.m. - the first match will be played against Loznica-Grad, followed on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. by the big game against four-time Champions League winner Barça. Both matches can be seen live on Mauve TV. The last game against Luxol St. Andrews will be played on Saturday at 5:30 p.m..
The goal is to repeat last year's exploit, when Luca Cragnaz's men reached the Final Four. To do so, they must first finish among the top three in this group to advance to the elite round. Still, even a group win is important to be classified as a series leader in the draw for that elite round. The four group winners of the elite round qualify for the Final Four.
THE FUTSAL CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FORMAT
The Futsal Champions League consists of three rounds: the main round, elite round and a Final Four. Each of these rounds are completed in the form of mini-tournaments with four teams at a host from the group.
Last year, RSCA Futsal hosted the main round in front of a full Alfasun Indoor Arena, this year they will settle it in Serbia at opponent Loznica-Grad. The first three clubs in each group advance to the elite round. To enter the draw as a series leader, it is important to finish first or second. In the elite round, the best 16 teams are divided into four groups. The four group winners qualify for the final four.
