RSCA is moving forward with a new fan zone and additional restrooms in stand 3. Some 1,500 square meters of additional indoor space will be added, taking the match experience of a large proportion of supporters to a higher level. Preparation works have already begun, with the opening scheduled for next season.
The Lotto Park is packed to the rafters every home game. Thousands of supporters are on the waiting list for a season ticket or do not manage to get an individual ticket.
Apart from the inherent limits in terms of stadium capacity, there is insufficient room for drinking and eating facilities and restrooms for supporters. This was also evident from a survey conducted by RSCA earlier this season.
The club wants to address that for next season with a new fan zone and additional sanitary facilities in tribune 3. Specifically, there will be about 1,000 square meters of interior space for bars. This is where supporters from stands 2 and 3 can go for drinks, snacks and atmosphere before, during and after the match. The bars will be accessible through a main entrance along the outside and through an entrance along the field side. Thus, approximately two-thirds of Lotto Park will be able to enjoy this upgrade. The outdoor area will also receive a visual upgrade.
In addition, a brand new sanitary area of about 500 square meters will also be built in stand 3. This will provide space for 30 toilets and 40 urinals.
Preparatory works for these renovations have already started. The club aims to complete most of the work during the off-season, allowing supporters to enjoy it from the 2024-2025 season
