Mario Stroeykens has extended his contract until 2026. The young attacking midfielder signed his contract extension on the day of his 19th birthday.
Mario has been playing in purple-white since the U9s. With his technical and physical qualities and his goalscoring abilities, Mario smoothly passed through the youth ranks. At the age of 15, he signed his first professional contract at RSCA. He made his first-team debut in January 2021 and has since played 59 games for the first team.
Mario Stroeykens:
"Having grown up here at the club, I am very proud to sign a new contract. It shows the confidence the management has in me and I myself am happy to be part of the new project of the club. I will continue to work every day to improve and I look forward to experiencing that indescribable feeling even more when, as an Academy player, you get to play in front of a full Lotto Park."
Jesper Fredberg:
"Our own youth players will always remain an important asset for RSC Anderlecht. That's why we are very pleased that, following the example of players like Theo Leoni and Yari Verschaeren, now Mario Stroeykens has committed to a longer contract. We will do everything we can to develop Mario's full potential in the coming years."
