A festive, purple-and-white Saturday for young and old. Discover the program for the Galamatch and Fanday here.
Sporting hosts German powerhouse VfL Wolfsburg for a galamatch at the Lotto Park on Saturday, July 20. One week before the league starts, this match is considered the final rehearsal for players and fans alike.
At the Bundesliga club we find some old acquaintances. Sebastiaan Bornauw enjoyed his training in Neerpede and came 29 times in action for the first team. After 10 years at purple-white he moved to FC Köln. There he managed to secure a transfer to Wolves after two strong seasons. Striker Lukas Nmecha had a shorter stay in Brussels, but still left an indelible impression with 21 goals in one season.
The kickoff of the gala match is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. In and around the stadium from 10 a.m. there will be plenty of entertainment.
Season ticket holders will be the first to buy their ticket. Next, Mauve+ Silver & Gold members will get the chance to buy up to two tickets. If seats are still available after their priority period, a free sale will also follow.
Fans are welcome starting from 10h30 for a day full of animation and activities. Those will take place inside of the stadium, and partly outisde the stadium as well. A ticket for the gala game also grants you acces for the fanday activities inside the stadium. All ticketing info for that can be found here. There is no ticket or reservation needed for the activities outside of the stadium. The day will end around 18h30.
Enjoy snacks and drinks under the sun, have a look and shop the new shirts for this season, or take your chance in a panna cage. Or: get your mauve & white facepaint and take part in one the activities around the pitch.
