First team physiotherapist
RSCA is looking to cooperate with a motivated, pro-active, committed, enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills to join our human performance team in the role of physiotherapist for the first team.
RSC Anderlecht 1st Team Physiotherapist is key member of the Medical and Performance staff. You thrive in a high paced environment and are a dynamic, hardworking, punctual, down-to-earth individual. This position will collaborate closely with the Head Physiotherapist, Medical & Performance staff to support player availability that contributes to our overall success.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Organization of the daily treatment planning and coordinating this to the physiotherapists and soft tissue-therapists. Development and execution of personalized / individual treatment & prevention plans for each player
- Conducting off-field assessments to evaluate the severity of injuries and provide immediate care. Keep track of medical data and relate this to evidence-based medicine
- Assist during on- and off-field rehab sessions
- Assist with individual and general prevention sessions
- Organization & periodization of RTP-protocols and weekly readiness screening. Coordination of individual hydration strategies for all players.
- Effective communication and education within human performance department and players. Read and transform player human performance data into individual performance reports
- Desire to conduct research to contribute to the development of the sport science departments. Assessment and preparation of each player for the load and intensity of daily training content. Coordination of all availability status and follow up reports
- Delivering training day and match day duties: pitch-side first aid care
- Follow-up of the club’s medical strategy: prevention, medical therapy, rehab, testing and screening. Conducting daily health and fitness assessments to identify areas for improvement
- Utilize technology to track and analyze injury trends, aiding in the development of targeted prevention strategies. Follow-up top-down structure & strategy from Futures & Academy human performance team
Competencies & Qualifications
- Full time availability: fllexibility as training schedule will be changing throughout season. Take accountability for the tasks you get
- (Very) good knowledge of Dutch, French and English
- Must hold Bachelor & Master physiotherapy degree
- Must have excellent communication skills, be dynamic, hardworking, punctual, down-to-earth and enthusiastic
- Previous experience in (professional) sports is recommended (by preference football)
- Previous experience with IT is recommended (Microsoft Word. Excel. PowerPoint, PowerBi - Tableau and IOS equivalents)
- Bachelor (or higher) in osteopathy, performance & movement analysis. football coaching, applied kinesiology or other sports science related subject areas are very desirable

A core remit of the role is that you support player readiness and low levels of injury within the 1st Team, and work with the staff to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.
