The striker joins RSC Anderlecht on loan until the end of this season with an option to buy.
At Anderlecht, Abdoulay Diaby finds a new club at least until the end of this season. Last year, the 29 year old striker played for the Spanish side Getafe on loan from Sporting Lissabon. The Portuguese club now loans Diaby to RSCA with an option to buy.
Diaby was born in France, but plays for the Mali national team where he has gathered 24 caps so far. For Abdoulay, it's not the first time he will play on Belgian pitches.
"After have been away for 3 years, I'm glad to be back in Belgium. I've grown as a player for the past years in Portugal and Spain, so I hope to be able to do what I've come for: to score goals."
"Everyone in Belgiums know Abdou's qualities. He is 29 years old and has an incredible drive. His ability to score, in combination with his experience, should allow us to become more efficient."
