Ismael Baouf signs his first professional contract

Ismael Baouf signs his first professional contract with RSC Anderlecht. He signs a contract until 2026.

Ismael swapped the youth training of Sporting Charleroi for that of Neerpede last summer. During season 2022/23, he was a regular in the central defence of our U18s. In the play-offs of the Challenger Pro League, Ismael even got a taste of professional football with playing minutes against Club NXT and RWDM.

Fans of Neerpede could already see Baouf at work during the Future Cup in April. There, he captained the U17 delegation of RSCA, where he did an excellent job in international matches against Chelsea, Ajax and PSG, among others.

The 2006-born defender will be part of coach Marink Reedijk's squad next season.

Jean Kindermans, Head of Youth Academy :

"Ismael entered our academy quite late but has developed quickly as a central defender in one season’s time with our U18’s. He is very solid in the defensive duel, is a good header and has an accurate pass. With even more leadership and communication, he can make it to the A-team through the RSCA Futures in the foreseeable future."

Jesper Fredberg, CEO Sports :

“We’re very happy that Ismael signs his first professional contract at RSC Anderlecht. He fits the profile that we seek in his position. Now it’s up to him to prove himself first with the U18’s and RSCA Futures to gradually grow towards the A-team."

Félicitations, Ismael.
