On Sunday evening, Sporting hosted KRC Genk at Lotto Park in the Jupiler Pro League. Without Jan Vertonghen (injured) and Zeno Debast (suspended), Brian Riemer had to put together a new central defensive pairing with Thomas Delaney and Killian Sardella. Louis Patris took over at right-back. Thorgan Hazard (flu) and Francis Amuzu (injury) were also unavailable. At the end of a fairly difficult encounter, RSCA took all three points.
